3 and 1/2 Day Workshop

Demonstration Painting Wednesday Evening (November 6) from 6 to 9 pm

Classes Thursday through Saturday (November 7 - 9), 9 to 4 pm daily

In this 3 and 1/2 day workshop, I'll present a logical step by step approach to painting the still life in the classic Chiaroscuro (light and shadow) style.  Using exercises, presentations, and painting from life, we'll start off by focusing on learning about the members of the Light Family and the Shadow Family and practice painting them.  After that we'll spend the next two days painting from the glorious still lifes I'll have set up for you.  We'll have lots of discussion about concept, composition, value, the five kinds of light, color, edges, paint quality, mystery and atmosphere.  You will not want to miss it!

The fee for the full 3 and 1/2 days (workshop and demo) is $325.    The fee for observing the demonstration painting on Wednesday evening (without participating in the workshop) is $50.

This workshop is for oil painting.  Enrollment for the full workshop is limited to only 12 participants  so don't delay if you want to sign up!
